Okay, guys, let’s talk about that crazy race, the 2018 Pocono Green 250. Man, what a day that was!

It all started on Saturday, June 2, 2018. This was the 12th race of the NASCAR Xfinity Series that year, and only the third time they ran this particular event. I remember waking up that morning, super pumped to watch. I got my snacks ready, made sure to have some drinks, and settled in front of the TV.
The race was held at Pocono Raceway. That place is a beast! It’s a three-turn superspeedway, and it’s huge. They run two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races there every year, so it’s a pretty big deal. Anyway, before the main event, they had the qualifying rounds. That was at 9:35 AM. Since the track is 2 miles long, they did the single car, single lap, two round system. It was pretty intense watching each driver try to get the best time.
I was watching the whole thing, and the tension was high. So many great drivers were out there, but everyone was talking about Kyle Busch. And let me tell you, the guy did not disappoint. When the actual race kicked off, he was a total machine. He dominated the track like nobody’s business. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. My friends and I were texting back and forth, freaking out over every move.

To give you an idea of how awesome the race was, here are the main things I jotted down:
-
Kyle Busch was with Joe Gibbs Racing. That guy is a legend.
-
Chase Elliott from GMS Racing came in second. He was really pushing it.
-
Daniel Hemric from Richard Childress Racing grabbed third. Solid performance from him.
When the race finished, it was insane. Kyle Busch won his 92nd career NASCAR Xfinity Series win. It was his first win of the season, too. I jumped up and cheered. It was such a great moment to witness. I called up my buddy who’s also a huge NASCAR fan, and we talked about it for like an hour. We analyzed every detail, every turn, every pit stop. Man, we were so hyped up!
The Aftermath
After the race, I went online to check out all the stats and news. I found some cool articles and read through the results. It was awesome to see all the numbers and compare them to what I saw during the race.
That day was one for the books. I have watched a lot of races, but the 2018 Pocono Green 250 is definitely one of my favorites. I’ll never forget how exciting it was to see Kyle Busch just crush it out there. It’s moments like these that make being a NASCAR fan so much fun. And you know I kept all my notes from that day. I still go back and look at them sometimes, just to relive the excitement.

Thanks for listening to my story, folks. Hope you enjoyed it!
