2024 Bolt EV or EUV: Which One Is Right for You? Find Out Here

So, the other day, I was reading up on the latest in electric vehicles, you know, just browsing through, and stumbled upon some buzz about the 2024 Chevy Bolt. I’ve been driving a 2017 Bolt EV, and it’s been pretty good to me, but you always get that itch, right? Thinking about what’s new and shiny.

First off, I went to look for what’s the deal with the 2024 Bolt. Turns out, there isn’t one! They’re skipping right to 2025. That’s a bummer, but it gave me some time to think about what I really want. I started comparing the Bolt EV, which is the hatchback I’m familiar with, to the Bolt EUV, which is more of an SUV.

The EUV is a bit bigger, and they say it’s got more room inside. That sounds nice, especially for longer trips or when you’ve got a bunch of stuff to haul. Plus, it’s got this Super Cruise thing, which is hands-free driving on some roads. Sounds fancy, but is it worth it? I’m not sure.

Then there was a discussion about the Equinox EV. Some folks were saying it’s the way to go if you want more range and faster charging. It’s a bit bigger than the Bolt EUV, and it can go up to 300 miles on a single charge. That’s a big deal if you’re like me and hate stopping to charge all the time.

I dug a bit deeper into the specifics. I looked at the wheelbase of the EUV and found out it’s longer than the EV’s. That means the back wheels are pushed further back, which probably explains the extra space inside. It’s the little details that make a difference, you know?

There was also some talk about charging times. I jotted down some notes about the different types of charging and how long it might take to juice up these EVs. It’s all pretty standard stuff, nothing groundbreaking, but good to know.

I also glanced over a list of features, both inside and out. Again, nothing that really jumped out at me. I mean, they all come with the usual bells and whistles, but it’s not like there’s something that makes me go, “Wow, I gotta have that!”

So, after all this reading and comparing, I’m still on the fence. Do I stick with what I know and wait for the 2025 Bolt, or do I branch out and try something like the Equinox EV? I’m leaning towards waiting it out, see what the 2025 model brings to the table. Maybe they’ll have some cool new features or improvements that make the wait worthwhile.

Honestly, I’m in no rush. My current Bolt is doing just fine, and it’s not like I’m missing out on anything major. It’s just that curiosity, you know? Always wondering if the grass is greener on the other side. But for now, I think I’ll just keep my options open and enjoy the ride I’ve got.

If any of you have thoughts or experiences with these EVs, I’d love to hear them. It’s always good to get some real-world input before making a big decision like this. What do you think? Upgrade or stick with what I’ve got?

  • Started with: Browsing electric vehicles
  • Discovered: No 2024 Bolt, skipping to 2025
  • Compared: Bolt EV (hatchback) vs. Bolt EUV (SUV)
  • Considered: Equinox EV for more range and faster charging
  • Dug into: Wheelbase differences for interior space
  • Noted: Charging times for different types
  • Glanced at: Standard and optional features
  • Decided to: Wait and see what the 2025 model offers
  • Currently: Happy with 2017 Bolt EV, but curious about new options

I will try to make a decision after more investigation.
