2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta: Dates, Players, and How to Watch

Okay, so let me tell you about my experience with the 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta. It was quite a ride!

It all started when I saw the ads. I’m a sucker for golf, especially when it’s played in a beautiful location. Vidanta looked amazing, and the lineup of players was pretty decent, so I decided to go for it.

First things first, I booked my flights and accommodation. Found a pretty sweet deal on a resort nearby, not directly at Vidanta to save some cash but close enough. Then I snagged some tickets for a couple of the tournament days – Thursday and Sunday, to see the start and the finish.

Traveling there was smooth sailing. Got to Puerto Vallarta, hopped in a cab, and checked into my resort. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm, exactly what I needed. After settling in, I spent the afternoon exploring the area, getting a feel for the local vibe, and grabbing some amazing tacos.

Thursday arrived, and I was pumped. Got to the course early to soak it all in. The atmosphere was electric! People everywhere, the smell of fresh cut grass, and the sound of golf balls being crushed. I followed a few different groups, watched some incredible shots, and just enjoyed the day. There was this one guy, putting like a machine. I swear he sank everything within 10 feet.

Between watching golf, I grabbed some food and drinks, checked out the merchandise tents (almost bought a ridiculously overpriced hat), and just enjoyed the overall experience. The course was in pristine condition, the views were stunning, and the energy was infectious.

The next couple of days were spent chilling by the pool, exploring more of Puerto Vallarta, and generally unwinding. Then Sunday rolled around, and it was time for the final round. The tension was palpable. The leaders were battling it out, and the crowd was going wild with every birdie and clutch par save.

The back nine was a rollercoaster. Lead changes, crazy shots, and a whole lot of drama. The guy I saw putting well on Thursday? He was right in the mix. In the end, someone else pulled it out. What a finish.

After the trophy presentation, I hung around for a bit, soaking up the last of the atmosphere. Then, it was back to the resort, reflecting on an awesome week.

Overall, the 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta was an incredible experience. The golf was great, the location was beautiful, and the atmosphere was unforgettable. I’d highly recommend it to any golf fan. Start saving up now!

Here are a few things I learned:

  • Wear sunscreen, even if it’s cloudy. I got a little burnt despite thinking I was covered.
  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. It’s hot out there, and you’ll be walking a lot.
  • Bring comfortable shoes. You’ll be on your feet all day.
  • Don’t be afraid to talk to people. Everyone’s there for the same reason, and it’s a great way to make new friends.
  • Enjoy the moment. It’s a special experience, so soak it all in.

Until next time!
