Okay, here’s my blog post about finding vintage motorbike images, written in a casual, personal style:

So, I’ve been working on this design project, and I really needed some cool, old-school motorbike pictures. I figured, “No problem, I’ll just do a quick search and find tons!” Boy, was I a little naive.
I started by, you know, just typing “vintage motorbike images” into the search bar. I scrolled through the first few results, and it was…okay. Lots of the same stuff, kinda generic, and a lot of it was clearly modern bikes trying to look vintage. Not what I was going for.
Then I started getting a little more specific. I tried things like “classic motorcycles 1950s” and “antique motorbike photos”. This helped a bit! I started seeing some more unique images, but a lot of them were small, low-quality, or watermarked. I mean, fair enough, people gotta protect their work, but it made it hard to use them.
I dug a little deeper. I remembered a trick somebody told me, I tried images in the public domain. I did a more specific search.
- I opened image search.
- I typed what image I wanted.
- I clicked Tools, then Usage Rights, finally I selected creative commons licenses.
After a few hours of this, I’d built up a pretty good collection. I learned a few things along the way:

My Summary
Firstly, searching the public domain for images really helped me get the right pictures I wanted.
Secondly, don’t be afraid to go down the rabbit hole! Sometimes the best finds are a few layers deep.
I ended up finding exactly what I needed – some really awesome, high-quality shots of old bikes that totally fit the vibe of my project. It took a little longer than I expected, but it was definitely worth the effort!
