Keeping Tabs on Things
So, I was catching up on the basketball scene the other day, just browsing around. You know how it is. Then I saw the news pop up about Zion Williamson.

He apparently took a pretty nasty fall in that game against the Timberwolves. Looked like his back took the hit. You see these guys flying around, all that power, sometimes things go wrong.
I kept an eye out for updates, just to see what the deal was. Sure enough, the Pelicans put out their injury list before the Bucks game on Sunday. And there it was:
- Williamson, Zion: OUT
Then it got a bit more serious. They weren’t just ruling him out for that game. The talk started getting louder about him missing more time.
The Official Word Drops
Then, come Monday, the team made it official. They shut him down. Not just for a few games, but done for the rest of their regular season games. Said it was a bone bruise in his back from that fall.
Man, that’s rough. You hate to see it for any player, especially a guy like him. He’s got that explosive style, just barrels through people. I saw his weight listed somewhere recently, something like 264 pounds. That’s a lot of force to carry, and a lot of impact when you fall hard like that.

It just feels like he’s had such a tough time staying on the court consistently. One thing after another. You hope he can get right, really get his body fully healed up. It’s just a waiting game now, I guess. See how he recovers and what happens next season.
Just logging what I saw happen. It’s part of following the game, the ups and the downs.
