Getting a Slot at Miami Shores Golf
So, I decided I wanted to hit the links over at Miami Shores Golf Course the other day. Heard some decent things, nothing fancy, but thought I’d give it a shot. First thing, obviously, was figuring out how to get a tee time. It’s not like you can just show up, right?
My first move was just doing a quick search online. Didn’t want to spend ages on it. Found their details pretty quickly, which was a good start. Looked like they had options for booking, either calling them up or using some online system. I usually prefer doing things online, saves me talking to people sometimes, you know?
So, I went for the online route first. Had to navigate their website a bit. It wasn’t the slickest site I’ve ever used, felt a little old school, but it worked, mostly. Here’s kinda what I did:
- Found the ‘Book a Tee Time’ section. Took a click or two.
- Had to pick a date. I was looking for a weekend slot, which I figured might be tougher.
- Then scrolled through the available times. Lots were already taken, as expected.
- Found one that worked for me, mid-morning. Clicked on that.
- Needed to input my details: name, how many players (just me this time), phone, email. Standard stuff.
- Had to put in payment info to hold the spot. Always makes me pause for a second, but yeah, had to do it.
Honestly, the process was okay. Not amazing, not terrible. It felt a bit clunky navigating the time slots, but I got there. Confirmation popped up on the screen, and then an email landed in my inbox pretty much straight away, which was reassuring. At least I knew it went through.
I thought about calling too, especially when I saw how many weekend spots were gone. Sometimes talking to a real person helps, maybe they know about cancellations or something. But the online thing worked out this time, so I stuck with it. Saved me a phone call.
So yeah, tee time secured for Miami Shores. Now just gotta make sure my swing doesn’t embarrass me too much when I get there. Got the confirmation email saved, just in case. Looking forward to checking the place out.
