Okay, so, let me tell you about this golfing journey I started recently, all centered around this young guy, Nick Dunlap, and his upcoming gig at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. I gotta say, it’s been quite a ride!

It all started when I read about Dunlap winning The American Express. I mean, the guy’s just 20, and he’s already making waves. I dug into his background a bit, found out he’s got this caddie, Hunter Hamrick, who’s been with him since his college days at the University of Alabama. These two seem like a solid team.
Then I followed Dunlap’s announcement about turning pro. He did it during a press conference at his university. Pretty cool, right? It’s like watching someone’s dream unfold right in front of you. He mentioned he will play the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and I thought that I must follow it up.
I learned that he had a pretty busy 2023, winning the Northeast Amateur and the North & South Amateur. And get this, he was part of the Walker Cup team at St. Andrews. I watched some highlights, and man, this guy can play! He even played at the Hero World Challenge recently.
- Started following Nick Dunlap after his win at The American Express.
- Looked into his background, found out about his caddie, Hunter Hamrick.
- Watched Dunlap’s announcement about turning pro.
- Read about his achievements in 2023, including the Walker Cup.
- Got all hyped up for his first professional appearance at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
So, I’ve been gearing up for the Pebble Beach event. It’s his first professional appearance, so it’s kind of a big deal. I’ve been checking out the courses, reading about the other players, and just getting myself all excited. I think that watching him is worth my time since I also got a sponsor’s exemption into The American Express and performed well in it.
Honestly, it feels like I’m part of this journey with him, in a way. Following his story, seeing his success, it’s all pretty inspiring. I’m just a regular guy who loves golf, and seeing someone like Dunlap achieve so much at such a young age, it’s just awesome.

What I Realized
It’s not just about the game, you know? It’s about the passion, the hard work, the journey. Dunlap’s story is a reminder that age is just a number. If you’ve got the talent and the drive, you can achieve anything. I can’t wait to see what he does at Pebble Beach and beyond. It’s gonna be one heck of a ride!
