So, I was playing around with the idea of the new Marvel Rivals game, and you know how it is, you start thinking about who’s voicing who. Squirrel Girl popped into my head, ’cause, well, she’s Squirrel Girl. And I was like, “Hmm, who’s gonna be her voice in this game?”
I started poking around, just casually browsing, trying to see if any news had dropped. You know how these things go, sometimes info is out there, sometimes it’s a total secret. I didn’t expect to find anything super concrete right away, but a fella can try, right?
Then it kinda clicked. I remembered hearing a voice for Squirrel Girl in other stuff. My brain started churning, and I thought, “Wait a minute, wasn’t there someone who’s been doing her voice for a bit now?”
And boom! Milana Vayntrub.
Turns out, she’s been the go-to for Squirrel Girl since, like, 2016 or something. I remember seeing her in those Marvel Rising things. It’s one of those things where once you hear it, you can’t unhear it. She just is Squirrel Girl for a lot of folks, myself included.
If you ask me, she totally nails it. She’s got that charm, that bit of humor that makes Squirrel Girl, well, Squirrel Girl. I read somewhere that she’s good with improv comedy, and you can kinda feel that. It makes the character feel more alive, more fun, not so stiff like some voice acting can be.
So, why is Squirrel Girl so tough anyway?
It’s funny, ’cause you look at her and think, “Okay, squirrels.” But then you find out she’s got legit super strength. And those squirrels? Don’t underestimate ’em. They’re surprisingly effective. Some people call it plot armor, but hey, it works! It’s just part of her whole deal.

- That unbeatable optimism – you betcha.
So yeah, that was my little journey trying to figure out the voice for Marvel Rivals. While nothing’s 100% confirmed for this specific game until they officially announce the full cast, it just makes sense for Milana Vayntrub to be back. She’s basically become the voice of Squirrel Girl. Pretty cool to see how actors really stick with these characters. Now I’m just waiting to hear her in action in the game!
