Okay, so today I was looking into this guy, Jayden Denegal. Sounds like a football player, right? Turns out, yeah, he’s a quarterback.

First thing I did was just punch his name into Google. Loads of stuff came up, mostly sports sites. It seems like he plays for the Michigan Wolverines. Not a starter though, more like a backup. A redshirt sophomore, whatever that means. Apparently, he was way down the list of quarterbacks for them this season, like the fifth choice. That’s gotta be rough.
Then I saw this post on social media. It was from Denegal himself. He was saying he’s gonna enter the “transfer portal.” I had to look that up too. Basically, it’s like a big list of college athletes who want to switch schools. So, he’s leaving Michigan.
- Checked out his stats: I dug around on a few sites, you know, ESPN, FOX Sports, and a couple of others. They all had his stats. Nothing too crazy, to be honest. I mean, he’s probably a good player, but he likely didn’t get a lot of game time being so far down the depth chart.
- Looked at his career: From what I could gather, he hasn’t really had a breakout moment or anything. Just a few mentions here and there. He’s still young though, maybe 20 or 21.
- Read some news articles: There were a few articles about him entering the transfer portal. Most of them just repeated the same info. It’s big news in the college football world, I guess.
So, after all that, I’ve got a decent picture of who Jayden Denegal is. He’s a young quarterback who’s looking for a fresh start somewhere else. I guess he wants more playing time, which makes sense. I hope he finds a good team where he can really show what he can do.
It was a kind of interesting little research project. I like digging into these kinds of things and seeing what I can find. It is a good day!
