Man, I was totally screwed yesterday when my FAZ watch just froze up. Like I pressed every button and nothing worked at all. Figured it was bricked for sure.
The Freakout Phase
First thing I did? Panicked like crazy. Threw the stupid thing on the charger even though the battery was half full. Left it there for like two hours while I stress-ate chips. Checked it again – still dead. Not even a flicker.
Step 1: The Forced Reboot
Suddenly remembered tech stuff usually needs a hard reset. Found both buttons on the right side – held them down together until my fingers hurt. Boom! Screen flashed black then the FAZ logo popped up. Almost cried relief right there.
Step 2: Factory Reset Dance
But all my settings were gone. Went into settings menu scrolling like mad. Found Reset Options under System. Tapped factory reset confirmation three times cause I didn’t trust it. Watch turned off then rebooted fresh as new baby.
Step 3: The Update Trap
Setup screen pops up telling me to install firmware update before doing anything else. Clicked install thinking it would take minutes. Wrong. Sat there staring at progress bar for 45 freaking minutes. Felt like watching paint dry on snails.
Why It Probably Happened
Got thinking later how this mess started. Remembered I’d ignored those update notifications for weeks like an idiot. Figured the software finally crashed because I was too lazy to tap Install Now one stupid time. Lesson learned: update your crap immediately.

Now it works perfect again. Spent the whole evening customizing watch faces just to feel in control. Moral of the story? Even bricked gadgets can come back from the dead. Unless you dunked it in coffee – can’t fix stupid.
