Okay so here’s what happened today – I wanted to check real quick if Aryna Sabalenka won her tennis match, like right now. Simple question, right? Seems like it should be.
Where I Started My Search
First thing, I opened my phone. Obvious move. I opened my go-to sports app, the one I use all the time. Went straight to the tennis section, clicked “live scores”. Nothing. Refreshed… still nothing. Felt stuck. Annoying. Maybe the app was slow?
Switched gears. Typed “aryna sabalenka score” into my search bar. Hit enter. Loads of links pop up. Scrolled past the ads. Saw a few sites I recognized – ESPN, *, WTA Tennis. Good.
Clicked on the * result first. Clean site. Looked for the “Scores” tab. Found it. Scanned the list of ongoing tournaments quickly. Saw “Madrid”. Thought she might be playing there. Clicked Madrid. Saw a list of matches. Started scrolling names…
The Frustration Phase
Names… names… names… no Sabalenka. Huh? Checked the date. Definitely today. Maybe she wasn’t playing in Madrid? Started wondering if I had the right day. Maybe I misremembered her schedule?
Opened another tab just in case. Went to the WTA Tennis official website. Searched for her player page. Found it. Saw “Schedule & Results“. Perfect! Clicked that. Scanned her recent matches. Latest entry was from like 3 days ago. No update for today. Dead end. That sucked.
My phone battery was already crying. Below 30%. Damn thing drains fast. Had to plug it in quickly. Back to the search engine results.
Finally Finding the Answer
Scrolled down further in the search results. Saw a headline snippet: “Aryna Sabalenka vs [Opponent Name] Madrid Masters Result“. That looked promising! Clicked it. Landed on some sports news site.
Boom. Headline right there: “Sabalenka Powers Past [Opponent Name] in Straight Sets”. Scanned the first couple of paragraphs:
- She played today.
- She won the match.
- Score: 6-4, 6-3.
- Took about an hour and a half.
Got the confirmation. Felt relieved. Closed most of my tabs except that one.
Wrapping It Up
So yeah, took opening:

Four different places just to get one score. Should be simpler, honestly. But at least I got it: Aryna Sabalenka won her match today in Madrid. Straight sets win. Done.
