Okay so a while back I kept seeing these Fall Guys Only Up clips online where people fail horribly. Thought it must be impossible. But last weekend I decided screw it – let’s actually try cracking this mode myself instead of just laughing at fails.

The Absolute Disaster First Runs
Hopped into solo show like an overconfident idiot. Round 1 was that spinning vertical pole level? Immediately got yeeted off twice in ten seconds. Panicked so hard when the pole spun faster that I jumped straight into a pit. Third try almost made it but choked on the final jump. Felt like the game personally hated me.
Changed How I Practice
Instead of rage-queuing, I started doing specific things:
- Spent 30 minutes just running Jump Showdown – only focused on timing jumps when the pole passes instead of reacting last-second
- Recorded my worst wipeouts – watched replays to see exactly where my camera placement sucked during rotations
- Purposely stood at edges to test collision boxes – realized you can stand halfway off platforms without falling if positioned right
The Game-Changing Trick
Figured out two things that finally made it click:
- Stop rushing uphill sections – walking slowly gives way better control than sprinting when platforms tilt
- Bait grabbers by turning around suddenly – faking a direction change makes chasers overshoot and fall off
Started getting top 3 consistently after that. Won my first Only Up crown yesterday by just walking the final spinning path while others panic-ran off. Feels good laughing at the chaos now instead of being part of the fail compilation!
