Okay, so today I wanted to share my recent experience with a game that’s been blowing up lately, called Astro Bot. You guys know I’m a sucker for a good platformer, and let me tell you, this one’s a real gem.

First off, I saw some crazy stats – apparently, this game sold over 1.5 million copies in just over two months! That’s wild, right? And it’s not just kids playing it, which is what you might expect from a game with a cute little robot. Nope, this thing is pulling in all kinds of players, from hardcore gamers to casual folks, which probably helped push those sales numbers up.
So I got curious and decided to give it a go. I fired up my PS5 and started playing. I immediately got sucked in. The visuals are insane, like, seriously top-notch. They really did a great job making this game look good.
The gameplay itself is just pure fun. It’s one of those games that constantly throws new stuff at you. New mechanics, new challenges, you’re never bored. I was going through galaxies, each one totally different from the last, and I was hooked. Some folks are even saying it’s better than Mario, and honestly, I can see why. It’s got that same kind of magic, but it feels fresh and new.
One thing that really stood out to me is how it feels like a love letter to PlayStation. There are all these little nods and references to other PlayStation games. It’s like a little inside joke for anyone who’s been a fan of the console for a while. Even I got surprised by the references to old games, such as Solid Snake.
After beating the main game, I found out there’s a secret level called Final Encore. You can only play it if you’ve found everything in the rest of the game. So, of course, I had to go back and find all those missing pieces and hidden bots.

Finally, I unlocked Final Encore, and man, it was a blast! It’s like a victory lap, a celebration of everything that makes Astro Bot so great. It was the perfect way to cap off an already amazing experience.
Here’s the deal: if you have a PS5, you need to play this game. It’s one of those rare games that truly has something for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or just looking for a fun way to kill some time, Astro Bot is worth every penny. Go buy it for your son or for yourself, don’t think twice, you won’t regret it. I’m telling you, Sony might have finally found their mascot with this little guy!
