Alright, so I wanted to keep track of the Guatemalan Liga Nacional standings, you know, just for fun. It’s not like I’m a super serious bettor or anything, I just like to see how the teams are doing.
First, I went browsing around the internet to see where I could find this info.
Then, I realized there were quite a few sites that had this kind of data. I checked out a bunch of them, like ESPN, Eurosport, OneFootball, and even Betimate. They all had the standings, but they presented them in slightly different ways.
I made a list of these websites on my browser’s bookmark, which help me find them easier when needed.
- ESPN – They have a pretty clean layout, easy to read.
- Eurosport – They also have some articles and other soccer news, which is kind of cool.
- OneFootball – Their site is okay, a bit more focused on live updates, I guess.
- Betimate – They give you the points, wins, losses, all that stuff.
After looking at all of them, I started copying down the standings into my own spreadsheet. I just wanted to have it all in one place, you know? So I manually entered the team names, their wins, losses, draws, points, all that good stuff.
What I learned
It took a bit of time, honestly. I figured there might be an easier way to do this, maybe some way to automatically pull the data, but I haven’t figured that out yet. Anyway, I now have a basic spreadsheet with the current Liga Nacional standings. It’s not fancy, but it does the job. I can see who’s on top, who’s struggling, and how many points everyone has. I learned a lot during my practice today.
This whole thing was more of a learning exercise for me, I guess. I wanted to see if I could actually gather and organize this information myself. And hey, now I have a better understanding of how these standings work and where to find them. Maybe next time I’ll try to find a more efficient way to do it, but for now, I’m pretty happy with what I’ve got.
