Braves Opener: How to Watch and What to Expect from the Big Game.

Okay, so, it was the Braves’ opener, yeah? I got all pumped up to watch it. First thing I did was check who they were playing against. Turns out, it was the Phillies. I remember thinking, “Alright, classic matchup.” Then, I gotta figure out how to watch the darn thing. I don’t have cable, ’cause who does these days, right?

So I hit up the internet, and found out NBC 10 was showing it for the folks in Philly. But since I’m not in Philadelphia, that didn’t help me much. Kept digging and found out about some streaming thing called Fubo, which apparently shows Braves games. It is a bit pricey, starting at 74.99 bucks a month, but hey, it’s baseball season.

Game day rolls around. I made sure to clear my schedule, ’cause it’s the opener, you know? Found out the first pitch was at 1:05 PM. I got everything set up early though, ’cause I’m not about to miss anything. Also got the scoop on who’s pitching for the Braves. Apparently, Spencer Strider was starting on Friday, Max Fried on Saturday, and Chris Sale on Sunday.

Since I was all ready early, I poked around for some more info. Saw something about a “Braves VIP Experience.” Sounded pretty cool, with tours and getting close to the players during batting practice. But I am not there at the field.

  • Checked the Braves’ roster online. Just wanted to see who’s who, you know?
  • Then I saw something about Truist Park, where they play. It’s got some fun stuff like a zip line and a rock wall. Sounds like a good time, I gotta check it out sometime.
  • Read a tip that said to get to the stadium way early, like two or three hours before the game. Said there’s a lot to do around there.

Anyway, I ended up watching the game through that Fubo thing. It was a pretty good setup, got to see everything clear as day. It wasn’t the same as being there, but hey, I got to watch the Braves’ opener, and that’s what matters. Go Braves!
