Stuck and cant join friends lobby in Buckshot Roulette? These quick tips will help you connect!

Okay, so I tried to play Buckshot Roulette with my buddies the other day. We all hopped on Steam, ready for a good time, you know?

First off, I made sure my game was up-to-date. I had downloaded it like two weeks ago, so I thought it would be fine. But it’s always good to double-check, right? So, I checked for updates, and everything was good on that front.

Next, I checked my drivers. You never know if an outdated driver might mess things up. I went through my network adapter drivers to make sure they were the latest versions. It’s a bit of a pain, but it’s important.

Then, we tried to join each other’s lobbies. No luck. We kept getting error messages. It was super frustrating. One of my friend suggests that we should check the game mode first. We’re all trying to join the Multiplayer mode, and that is supposed to have three stages or something like that. But we never actually get into one.

We tried the Steam Overlay method, you know, inviting each other through Steam directly. From the main menu, I clicked on my friend’s name and hit “Invite to Lobby.” Nothing. We tried this a bunch of times, with different people trying to host. Still nothing.

One of my friends suggested we check out some online guides. Apparently, there’s this whole thing with leaving a bathroom and clicking on doors to start a game. It sounded weird, but we were desperate. We didn’t even get that far though, still stuck on the lobby screen.

I even found some YouTube videos about fixing lag issues in Buckshot Roulette, but those weren’t really our problem. We couldn’t even get the game started, let alone worry about lag!

Then there were these two solutions I found about changing PC scaling. Solution #1 was about changing the whole PC’s scaling, which sounded a bit drastic. Solution #2 was more specific to the game, but it seemed complicated. I didn’t really want to mess with my PC settings too much.

We spent a good amount of time trying different things, restarting the game, restarting Steam, even restarting our computers, but no dice. We couldn’t figure out why we couldn’t connect to each other’s lobbies.

Honestly, it was a bummer. We were all hyped to play, but we ended up just giving up. Maybe there’s no matchmaking feature yet, and you can only invite friends through Steam, but that didn’t even work for us. I’m not sure what else to try. If anyone has any ideas, let me know!
