Okay, so yesterday, I went to this golf course in Chandler, Arizona, called Ocotillo. It’s a pretty popular spot, they call it a “premier golf destination.” And you know what? It really is like a little oasis out there in the desert.

Getting there was a breeze. I just hopped on the I-10, took the Queen Creek exit, and drove into the newer part of south Chandler. The course is tucked away in there, surrounded by all these new buildings and stuff.
- I parked my car.
- I grabbed my clubs.
- I headed inside to check in.
The staff were super friendly. They got me set up with a cart, and I was on the first tee in no time. Now, I’m not the best golfer in the world, but I enjoy getting out there and hitting a few balls. And let me tell you, this course is beautiful. Lots of water features, which made for some interesting shots. I definitely lost a few balls in those ponds.
Hitting the Greens
I played all 18 holes. It took a good chunk of the day, but it was totally worth it. I even managed to get a couple of birdies, which I was pretty stoked about. Mostly, though, I just enjoyed being out in the sunshine, taking in the scenery, and trying not to embarrass myself too much.
Post-Game Relaxation
After the game, I stopped by the clubhouse. They’ve got a nice restaurant and bar there. I grabbed a bite to eat and a cold drink, and just relaxed for a bit. It was the perfect way to end the day.
So, if you’re ever in Chandler and you’re looking for a nice golf course, I definitely recommend checking out Ocotillo. It’s a great place to spend a day, whether you’re a serious golfer or just a hack like me.
