So, I’ve been diving deep into Hades 2 lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. But amidst all the chaos and battles, I stumbled upon something quite chill – the Hot Springs. Yeah, you heard that right, a place to relax in the underworld!
First things first, I had to unlock this oasis. It wasn’t just handed to me on a silver platter. I had to perform this thing called the Rite of Vapor-Cleansing Incantation at the Cauldron. It’s like a magic spell, but instead of shooting fireballs, it unlocks a bathhouse. This incantation, it needed 2 Moly. Don’t ask me what Moly is, I just know I needed it, and I found it eventually after a few runs.
Once I did that, boom! The Hot Springs were open for business at the Crossroads. It’s not just a place to soak your weary bones, though. It’s also where things get a little… steamy, if you catch my drift. See, you can invite other characters to join you for a dip. But to do that, you gotta gift them Bath Salts.
Now, who can you invite? From what I’ve gathered, there’s a few folks who are up for a soak. I’ve personally invited Dora, the listless shade, and let me tell you, she’s got some interesting stories. Then there’s Eris, the goddess of strife, who surprisingly knows how to unwind. I also managed to get Hecate, the headmistress herself, to take a break from her duties. And oh boy the conversations, they were fun. And you know what? I heard Odysseus is also game, though I haven’t gotten around to inviting him yet. Also, I saw that some people online invited Nemesis, but I didn’t get to it yet. Gotta try it out in the future!
The whole process is quite a nice change of pace from the usual hack-and-slash. You get these little cutscenes, some unique art, and it really helps you bond with the characters. It’s like, you’re not just fighting side-by-side, you’re also getting to know them on a more personal level. Plus, the Hot Springs themselves are a sight to behold. Trust me, after hours of battling through Erebus, a good soak is exactly what the doctor ordered.
And here’s a pro tip: while you are waiting for other stuff like plants to grow, or some incantation to complete, or even waiting for some stuff to be delivered by Charon’s delivery service, the Hot Spring is your best friend!
So yeah, that’s my experience with the Hot Springs in Hades 2 so far. It’s a cool little feature that adds a whole new dimension to the game. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, I highly recommend doing so. You won’t regret it!
