So, I’ve been digging into this whole Alfa Romeo logo thing in F1, and man, it’s been a ride. I started by just wanting to know what was up with the logo change I’d heard about. Turns out, Alfa Romeo F1 team went through a whole rebranding thing. They’re now called “Stake F1 Team.” Yeah, I know, doesn’t quite roll off the tongue like Alfa Romeo, does it?

First things first, I looked up the new logo. Honestly, it’s pretty sleek, but it’s no Alfa Romeo serpent, that’s for sure. That serpent, by the way, has some serious history. They call it the “Biscione,” which apparently means “grass snake.” It’s been part of the Alfa Romeo badge forever, since like the year 1000 or something! Apparently this symbol came from some souvenir from Constantinople.
- I started browsing through some F1 news sites.
- Then I hit up the Alfa Romeo official site to get the real story behind the logo.
- Lots of forum deep-dives to see what the fans thought about all this.
After that, I got into the whole history of Alfa Romeo in F1. They were out of the game for a while, and then they teamed up with Sauber in 2019. Remember Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi? They were the drivers for Alfa Romeo until 2021. It was cool to see them back, but now it looks like things are shifting again with this Stake F1 Team name.
The actual Alfa Romeo logo is split down the middle. On one side, there’s the red cross, which is the flag of Milan, where the company started. On the other, there’s the Biscione serpent. It’s a nod to their roots, and it’s pretty cool that they’ve kept it for over a century. I spent a good chunk of time just looking at old photos and how the logo evolved over the years.
My Realization
Finally, I realized that this whole logo and name change thing is more than just a new look. It’s about Alfa Romeo’s history, their future in F1, and how they’re trying to stay relevant. It’s a bit sad to see the old name go, but hey, things change, right? I guess we’ll see how this Stake F1 Team thing pans out. I’m definitely going to keep an eye on them this season.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of Alfa Romeo and their F1 logo. It was a fun little project, and I learned a lot. Hope you guys found it interesting too!
