Alright, so today I was curious about something a bit different – football, specifically Fulham and their Champions League history. It’s not my usual tech stuff, but hey, a guy’s gotta have some variety, right? So, I started digging into this, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey.
First off, I hit up the usual spots – Google, Wikipedia, the works. I just typed in “how many Champions Leagues does Fulham have?” and started scrolling through the results. Turns out, it’s not as straightforward as you’d think. You see, Fulham, as a club, hasn’t actually won any major trophies. Yeah, zero. Nada. Zilch. No Champions League, no Premier League, nothing of that sort. I know, I was kind of surprised too.
But here’s the thing, they’ve had their moments, you know? Like, they’ve been around for a while, and they’ve got some achievements under their belt, just not the big, shiny ones. For instance, I found out that they consider Chelsea as their main rivals. Makes sense, both being London clubs and all that.
Then I stumbled upon this little tidbit about Roy Hodgson. Apparently, this guy was their manager for a couple of years, and he did some pretty cool stuff. Saved them from relegation, got them to seventh place in the Premier League, which, I gather, is their highest ever finish. Not bad, right?
Diving deeper, I learned about their more recent history. In 2022, they were the champions of the EFL Championship, which got them promoted to the Premier League. And get this – one of their players, Aleksandar Mitrovic, scored 43 goals in 43 league games! That’s insane! They also had some crazy wins that year, like 7-0 a few times and a couple of 6-2 victories within a week. Sounds like they were on fire!

And on the topic of players, there are five guys who played for Fulham more than 450 times. These guys must have been the backbone of the team. They are all retired now, though.
So, yeah, that was my little adventure into Fulham’s football history. It might not be filled with Champions League trophies, but it’s definitely interesting in its own way.
