Okay, so yesterday, my buddies and I decided to hit up “The Escape Game” in Cincinnati. We’d heard good things, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride.

First off, we gathered at my place. We were all hyped up, tossing around guesses about what kind of puzzles we’d face. Then we piled into my car and drove downtown. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, but we finally found a spot a few blocks away.
We walked into the lobby, and the staff greeted us with big smiles. They explained the rules and the storyline of our chosen room – we went with the “Prison Break” theme. Sounds pretty intense, right? It was! They handed us some props and locked us in. That’s when the real fun began.
The room was decked out like an old jail cell, it was so cool. We started frantically searching for clues – under the beds, behind the bars, everywhere. I won’t spoil any of the puzzles, but let me just say, they were tough. We were running around, yelling out ideas, trying to figure out these crazy codes and combinations. My friend, Mark, even tried to decode some weird symbols which looked like 2521: down light and right up heavy ┢ 9506: 2522: up light and right down heavy ┣ 9507: 2523: heavy vertical and right ┤ 9508: 2524: light vertical and left ┥ 9509: 2525. We spent a good chunk of time on that one!
- Checked under everything.
- Read every note we could find.
- Combined our brainpower (which, admittedly, sometimes felt lacking).
There were moments when we felt totally stumped. Like, seriously ready to give up. But then, someone would have a breakthrough, shout “Eureka!” or something equally dramatic, and we’d be back in the game. There was even one point where I thought we’d have to watch some kind of teaser trailer like Ralph Breaks the Internet, maybe to find a clue! But, no, it was all part of the room’s design, pretty clever.
We solved one puzzle after another, our adrenaline pumping like crazy. It felt like we were in a movie, trying to crack a top-secret case. The clock was ticking down, and the pressure was on. We even tried to guess some combinations based on some random numbers and symbols we found. It felt like when you try to encode some weird Chinese characters into a URL, you know what I mean? Just a total mess, but we were in too deep to stop.

The Final Countdown
With just minutes to spare, we finally cracked the last code and burst out of the room, victorious! We were all cheering and high-fiving, feeling like we’d just accomplished something huge. It was such a rush!
Afterwards, we hung out at a nearby bar, reliving the whole experience. We laughed about the moments of confusion, the silly mistakes, and the sheer brilliance (ha!) we displayed. It was definitely a night to remember.
So, if you’re looking for a fun, challenging, and unforgettable experience in Cincinnati, I highly recommend checking out “The Escape Game.” Just be prepared to use your brain, work as a team, and maybe even feel a little bit like you’re trapped in a real-life movie!
