So, I’ve been diving deep into Destiny 2 again lately, and let me tell you, the grind never stops. I’m talking about those Ritual Activities, the ones that are always there, every week, like clockwork. You know, the Vanguard Ops, the Crucible, and Gambit.

First off, I jumped into the Vanguard playlist. It’s mostly PvE stuff, so you’re blasting away at aliens and whatnot with a couple of other Guardians. I ran a few strikes, you know, those mission-type things, and even took a crack at a Nightfall. Those Nightfalls can be a real pain, especially on higher difficulties, but the loot is usually worth it. I managed to snag a pretty sweet auto rifle with a roll I’ve been chasing for a while, so that was a win.
- Vanguard Ops: Pretty chill, good for warming up.
- Nightfalls: Tough, but rewarding. Prepare for a challenge!
After that, I figured I’d try my luck in the Crucible, which is the PvP side of things. I’m not the best at PvP, but I can hold my own. I played a few rounds of Control, which is basically capturing and holding zones. We won some, we lost some, it was a mixed bag. I did get a couple of nice kills with my hand cannon, though, so I was feeling pretty good about that.
Then there’s Gambit, which is a mix of PvE and PvP. You’re fighting enemies, collecting motes, and banking them to summon a big boss. But there’s also another team doing the same thing, and you can invade their side to mess them up. I only played a couple of matches of Gambit. It’s a bit too chaotic for my taste, but I can see why some people love it. I struggled to balance collecting motes and also have some time to invade the other side, but finally got it.
- Crucible: Good for testing your skills against other players.
- Gambit: A chaotic mix of PvE and PvP. Not for the faint of heart.
The whole point of doing these Ritual Activities is to get better gear, level up, and earn those sweet, sweet rewards. You get special engrams, upgrade materials, and sometimes even unique weapons and armor. Plus, there are weekly challenges that give you even more stuff if you complete certain objectives in each activity. It’s a grind, for sure, but it can be pretty satisfying when you finally get that piece of gear you’ve been looking for or when you hit a new power level.
My Final Thoughts
Overall, I’d say that doing the Ritual Activities in Destiny 2 is a good way to keep yourself busy and progress your character. It’s not always easy, especially some of those Nightfalls and Trials matches, but it’s definitely worth it in the end. If you’re a Destiny 2 player, you should definitely be hitting up these activities every week. That’s it, thanks for reading and see you next time.
