Getting Ready

The Day Of
The big day arrived, and I was stoked! I packed a little picnic – some sandwiches, chips, the whole nine yards. I got to the park early, and it was already buzzing with people. Everyone was just as excited as I was, setting up blankets and chairs, getting their cameras ready. There was this one guy with a telescope the size of a small car! Talk about dedicated.
Showtime!
Then, it started. Slowly but surely, the moon started creeping in front of the sun. It was like someone was taking a bite out of a big, bright cookie. The sky started getting dimmer, and the temperature dropped a bit. It was kinda eerie, but in a cool way, you know?
