Okay, here’s my sharing about how I did the “hoskins slide” thing.

So, I was trying to make this presentation, and you know how it is, you want it to look good, but not like you’re trying too hard. I’d heard about this “hoskins slide” thing, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I’m no designer, but I figured I could handle it. I mean, how hard could it be to make a decent-looking slide?
First, I just wanted to get some ideas. I remembered I saw some stuff online about using visuals to grab people’s attention. I mean, who likes staring at a wall of text, right? I was not sure why people would do that kind of thing. So, I started looking at examples and try to collect some good ones.
Then, I started messing around with the tools. I picked Aha Slides this time. It seemed pretty straightforward. I started by choosing a template. They had a bunch of them, but I didn’t want anything too flashy. Just something clean and simple. Once I had the template, I started putting my content in.
I made sure to break up the text with some images and stuff. I didn’t want it to be boring, you know? I played around with different fonts and colors, but nothing crazy. It really offers a lot of features. I wanted it to look professional, but still kinda relaxed.
After a while, I had something that looked pretty okay. I mean, it wasn’t going to win any design awards, but it got the job done. I showed it to a couple of friends, and they said it looked good. They didn’t even know I used this “hoskins slide” thing. So, I guess it worked!

- Started with looking at examples.
- Picked a tool: Aha Slides.
- Chose a basic template.
- Added content, broke up text with visuals.
- Played with fonts and colors, kept it simple.
- Got feedback from friends, they liked it.
Anyway, that’s my story about making a “hoskins slide.” It was easier than I thought it would be. If I can do it, anyone can. Just keep it simple, use some visuals, and don’t overthink it. It’s all about getting your point across without putting people to sleep. And by using these ways, the likelihood of remembering all of your points can be increased. You got this! Keep learning and practicing!
