Alright, so I wanted to look back at the Golden State Warriors’ roster from 2017. Man, that was a killer team, wasn’t it?

First off, I opened my web browser and typed in something like “GSW 2017 roster” into the search bar. I scrolled through a couple of pages that popped up, most of them were sports news sites and some general sports history databases. They all had pretty much the same info, so I just picked one that looked decent enough.
The Core Four
- Stephen Curry – Obviously, the point guard, the baby-faced assassin. What can you say? The guy’s shooting was just insane.
- Klay Thompson – Another Splash Brother! His defense was almost as good as his shooting, which is saying something.
- Draymond Green – The heart and soul of the team, right? Tough as nails, great passer, and could guard anyone.
- Kevin Durant – KD joined them in 2016, remember? That caused some major drama in the league. But man, the guy can ball. Unstoppable scorer.
Those four were the core, the foundation of that crazy team. But the supporting cast was just as important, you know?
Key Role Players
- Andre Iguodala – The sixth man, super experienced, always made the right play.
- Shaun Livingston – Solid backup point guard, remembered for his time with the Clippers too, right? That was tough to watch.
- Zaza Pachulia – Their starting center for most of the year. A big guy, not the flashiest, but he did the dirty work.
- JaVale McGee – Another big man, known for his athleticism and, well, some bloopers, let’s be honest. But still a solid contribution.
Bench Mob
Then there was the rest of the bench. These guys didn’t always get a ton of minutes, but every championship team needs depth, am I right?
- David West – Veteran power forward, brought some serious toughness.
- Matt Barnes – Another tough guy, mostly known for his defense and, shall we say, intensity.
- Ian Clark – A young guy, mostly a backup guard.
- Patrick McCaw – Another young player, showed some promise.
I think there were a couple more players, like James Michael McAdoo and Damian Jones, but honestly, I don’t remember them playing a whole lot.
Looking back, that 2017 Warriors team was just stacked. No wonder they dominated the league and won the championship. It was fun to watch, even if you weren’t a Warriors fan, you gotta admit. It brought back a lot of memories just looking through that roster again. They really had something special going on that year, didn’t they? It was a superteam.
