So, I was super into “The Amazing Race” this season, like always. I mean, who doesn’t love watching teams of two sprint around the world, completing crazy challenges? This year, season 36, was no different, and I followed it like a hawk. I even made a little chart to keep track of who was where each episode.
I started out by marking down all the teams at the beginning. You know, getting a feel for who everyone was. There were the usual suspects – the married couples, the best friends, the siblings. I even tried to predict who would go home first, just for fun. Spoiler alert: I was totally wrong.
Each week, I’d watch the episode, popcorn in hand, yelling at the TV like a lunatic. “Run faster!” “Read the clue!” “Why would you choose that detour?!” My family thinks I’m nuts, but hey, it’s entertaining, right?
Anyway, I meticulously updated my little chart after each episode. I used different colored pens, because why not? Blue for the winners, red for the eliminated teams, green for the middle-of-the-pack folks. It was a whole system.
As the season went on, I noticed a few teams really starting to shine. There were these two guys, Rod and Leticia, who seemed to be a real powerhouse. They won some legs, but they were the second team eliminated, so I was really surprised, and Leticia’s tears made me feel so sad. Then there were Greg and John, brothers and software developers. I love these guys. They were so calm, but also really quick-witted. They always seemed to figure things out, even when things got tough. It was clear they had a good strategy going. Ricky and Cesar were also the most competitive teams, and they were also the sweetest couple. How could I not support them?
Getting Down to the Wire
Toward the end of the season, it was getting super intense. My chart was looking pretty wild with all the different colors. I was on the edge of my seat every week, wondering who would make it to the final leg.
- Greg and John – These guys were playing a smart game. They were consistent, always near the top, and they seemed to have a real knack for the challenges. They are also funny and lovely brothers.
- Ricky and Cesar – Dating couple, another strong team. They were great communicators and always seemed to be on the same page. Their love makes the journey sweet and tough.
- Amber and Vinny – Dating couple. The only woman left in the race is Amber. I didn’t think they would make it to the final. But they are a really strong team, too.
When the finale finally rolled around, I was so pumped! I had my snacks ready, my chart updated, and I was ready to see who would take home the million-dollar prize.
The final leg was in Philadelphia, and it was a nail-biter! All three teams were neck and neck for most of it. They had to do all sorts of crazy things, like solving puzzles, eating cheesesteaks (which looked delicious, by the way), and running all over the city.
In the end, it all came down to a final sprint to the finish line. And guess what? Greg and John, the brothers, they pulled it off! They crossed the finish line first and won the whole thing! I was so happy for them, they totally deserved it. They played a great game, and they seemed like really good dudes. Though, I still feel bad about Ricky and Cesar. They almost won. I wish they are the champions, too.
So yeah, that’s my recap of “The Amazing Race” season 36. It was a wild ride, and I can’t wait for the next season! Who knows, maybe I’ll even apply to be on the show myself someday. Just kidding… maybe.
