Okay, so I wanted to mess around with the 2014 Kings roster – you know, that championship team. I’ve been a Kings fan forever, and that year was just magic. I figured it’d be cool to actually, like, do something with that roster, not just remember it.

First, I needed to find the roster itself. I mean, I remember most of the guys, but I wanted the full list, positions, everything. So, I did a basic search.
Once I had the full roster, I started thinking, “What can I actually do with this?” I wanted to play with that team.
So what I ended up doing was recreating that roster somewhere I could actively use it. I picked a game I already play, made sure it let me customize teams and players, and got to work.
Recreating the Magic
It was a bit of a grind, I won’t lie. Inputting all those players, making sure their positions were right, it took some time. I tried to get their attributes as close as I could, based on what I remembered about how they played back then. It wasn’t perfect, obviously, but it was close enough for me.
- Went player by player: Had to enter each name, position, all that stuff.
- Adjusted attributes: This was the tricky part. Tried to make them realistic to 2014.
- Tested and tweaked: Played a few games, made some small changes to get it feeling right.
Finally, I had the 2014 Kings, ready to go. It was awesome! Playing with that team again, even if it was just in a game, brought back all those good memories. I even managed to win a few games, which felt pretty good.

It was a fun little project. A good way to spend an afternoon, reliving that championship run. Might try doing it with some other classic teams in the future!
