Okay, so the other day I saw this thing online about rehydrating raisins. I was like, “What? You can do that?” I had a bunch of sad, shriveled raisins in the pantry, so I figured, why not give it a shot?

First, I grabbed the box of raisins. Man, they were hard as rocks! I picked out a handful, maybe like a cup or so, and tossed them into a small bowl.
The Experiment Begins
Next, I boiled some water. I didn’t measure it, just filled a little saucepan and put it on the stove. Once it was bubbling like crazy, I poured the hot water over the raisins in the bowl, making sure they were all covered.
- Step 1: Find sad raisins.
- Step 2: Boil water.
- Step 3: Drown those raisins!
Then came the hard part: waiting. I set a timer for, I dunno, 15 minutes? Seemed like a good amount of time. I kept peeking at them, though. They started to look a little plumper after just a few minutes, which was pretty cool.
When the timer finally went off, I drained the water. The raisins were definitely bigger! They looked like, well, actual grapes, kinda. Not exactly like fresh ones, but way better than before.
I tried one. It was still a little chewy, but way softer and juicier than the dried-up *!Now I can bring my raisins back to life.
