So, I’ve been trying to get better at basketball, right? And I found this “Shan Foster” workout thing online. Figured I’d give it a shot and see what happens. Here’s how it all went down.

First Steps and Warm-up
First thing I did was look up some basic info about Shan Foster. Turns out, he was a pretty good player! That got me a little motivated. Then, I started with a simple warm-up. Nothing crazy, just some:
- Jumping jacks
- High knees
- Butt kicks
- Arm circles
Just wanted to get the blood flowing, you know? Get the body working.
Getting into the Drills
After the warm-up, I moved onto some drills. I didn’t really know what I was doing, so I just picked some basic stuff. The First thing that I did:
- Dribbling: I practiced dribbling with both hands, trying to keep my head up. Man, that’s harder than it looks! I kept losing the ball, haha.
- Shooting: I worked on my free throws. I stood at the line and just shot, over and over. Tried to focus on my form, like they show in those YouTube videos.
- Layups: I did some layups, alternating between my right and left hand. Felt pretty clumsy at first, but I started to get the hang of it after a while.
The Tough Part
Okay, this is where it got real. I tried to do some more advanced stuff, like jump shots and dribbling between my legs. Let me tell you, it was rough. I missed a lot of shots. A LOT. And I definitely tripped over the ball a few times. It wasn’t pretty, but I kept at it. The sweat dripping all over me.
Cooling Down
Finally, I finished up with a cool-down. Just some simple stretches to prevent my old man body becoming injured.

- Touched my toes (almost!)
- Stretched my arms
- Did some deep breathing
Felt good to stretch it out after all that running around.
My Takeaway
Overall, it was a good workout. I’m definitely not the next Shan Foster, but I felt like I improved a little. It was fun, and I got some good exercise. I’ll probably try this workout again, and maybe I’ll even get better over time. Who knows? But hey, it’s all about having fun and moving your body, right?
