Okay, so I’ve been meaning to dive back into “Regular Show.” It’s one of those cartoons that just gets better with age, you know? I remember watching it when it first came out, but I never really finished it. So, I figured, why not finally tackle season 9? It’s the last one, after all.
First things first, I needed to find where to even watch it. I checked a few of my usual streaming sites, did some quick searching, and…boom! I found it.
Getting Started
I made some coffee, got some snacks – gotta have snacks for a cartoon binge – and settled in on the couch. The first episode started, and man, it immediately felt like no time had passed. Mordecai and Rigby were still up to their usual crazy antics.
- The animation style is still that distinct, slightly janky style that I love.
- The humor is still spot-on, that mix of surreal and relatable stuff.
- It was like comfort TV.
The Binge Begins
I think I watched, like, five episodes in a row that first night. I just couldn’t stop. Each episode is only about 11 minutes, so it’s super easy to just keep going. And the stories? Some of them were so wild, I was laughing out loud. There was this one with giant talking food…I won’t spoil it, but it was nuts.
I kept a notepad nearby, just to jot down some thoughts or funny lines. It wasn’t anything formal, just a way to remember the stuff I really liked. Here are a couple that I have to remember:
- A line about a talking sandwich, sounds stupid but, amazing!
- The episode with the space battle.
Wrapping Up (For Now)
I haven’t finished the whole season yet – life, you know? – but I’m making good progress. I’m trying to watch at least a couple of episodes each night. It’s my little wind-down routine after work.
So far, season 9 is living up to the hype. It’s funny, it’s weird, and it’s got that “Regular Show” charm that I can’t get enough of. I’m excited to see how it all ends, but I’m also a little sad that it’s the final season. It’s like saying goodbye to old friends. But hey, at least I can always rewatch it, right?
