Okay, so the other day I was itching to hit some golf balls. I’d heard about Lakeside Golf Center, figured I’d give it a shot. I grabbed my clubs, tossed them in the trunk, and headed over.

First thing I did was find parking. Seemed simple enough. I then headed inside to pay. They had different bucket sizes, so I went with a medium – felt like a good balance between getting warmed up and not wearing myself out.
Once I got my bucket, I looked around for an open spot. It wasn’t crazy busy, but there were definitely a few people out there. I found a stall, set my bucket down, and started pulling out my clubs.
- Started with my wedges, just getting a feel for the swing.
- Then I moved on to some mid-irons, focusing on making solid contact.
- Finally, I pulled out the driver to really let loose.
Feeling
It was a little windy that day, so I was trying to compensate. My shots were… okay, I guess. Some good, some bad. I think the ball also plays a part.
I saw some other folks there practicing, too. Some looked like they really knew what they were doing. Others, well, not so much, haha. But everyone was having a good time, which is the main thing, right?
After I finished my bucket, I packed up my clubs, and then went back to my car. Overall, it was a decent experience, and I thought the place was reasonably priced.
