Okay, so, I messed up my right hand playing golf. It all started last weekend. I went to the driving range, feeling pretty good, you know? Sun shining, birds chirping – the whole deal.

I grabbed my driver and started swinging. At first, everything was fine. My shots were going straight, feeling solid. But then, I don’t know what happened. Maybe I got cocky, maybe I tried to hit it too hard, but on one swing, I felt this sharp pain shoot up my hand. It was like, “zing!” right through my wrist and fingers.
I stopped immediately, of course. I knew something wasn’t right. I tried to shake it off, thinking maybe it was just a cramp or something. But nope, the pain was still there, throbbing away.
- I iced it when I got home.
- I took some ibuprofen.
- I even tried to wrap it up with a bandage.
Nothing really helped much. It’s been a few days now, and it still hurts to grip anything, even a coffee cup. Typing this is even a little painful.
What now?
I made an appointment to see a doctor, just to be safe. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious, just a strain or something. I’m really hoping I don’t have to take a long break from golf, because, honestly, I’m hooked! I love getting my hand better.
So the next practice I could try to swing, it’s really my fault.

Moral of the story? Don’t be a hero on the golf course. Listen to your body, and don’t try to kill the ball every single swing. I learned that the hard way!
