Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with this “champagne brown” hair color trend lately. I saw it all over social media, and I just had to try it. Here’s how my little hair adventure went down.
Getting Started
First, I scrolled through tons of pictures online. I wanted to get a good feel for the different shades of champagne brown. Some were lighter, some were darker, some had more gold, some had more ash… it was a whole spectrum!
Then, I looked at my own hair. I’m naturally a medium brown, with some old highlights that had grown out. I knew I didn’t want to bleach my whole head, so I decided to go for more of a balayage look.
The Process
Next big step, Find a hair colorist,I found a stylist who had a bunch of good reviews and whose Instagram showed a lot of the kind of color I was going for.I booked a consultation.
At the consultation, we talked about what I wanted, and she showed me some color swatches. We settled on a mix of tones to create that perfect champagne brown that wouldn’t be too brassy on me.I scheduled my appointment for the next week,I was so excited!
At my appointment, she carefully painted the lighter color onto sections of my hair, focusing on the ends and around my face.
- First step. The stylist sectioned my hair.
- Second * stylist began the painting process.
- Third * explained about the color.
It took a while because she was super meticulous about blending everything. Then, I sat under the heat for a bit to let it process. I was kind of nervous, but mostly just excited to see the result.
After the processing, she rinsed my hair and applied a toner. She explained that this would help balance the color and give it that champagne-y shimmer. Then, a quick wash and condition, and it was time for the reveal!
The Result!
I was thrilled! It was exactly what I wanted. My hair looked so much brighter and more dimensional. The color was this gorgeous, warm brown with subtle hints of gold and a touch of ash. It just glowed! I can not help but keep running my hand throug the hair.
The stylist gave the hair do a simple * just looked so healthy and shiny and, well, champagne-y! I was totally in love.
It’s been a few weeks now, and I’m still loving it.I get my dreamy hair color,yay!
