Okay, so I wanted to put together the Padres 2022 roster, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I figured it’d be simple, but there were a few twists and turns along the way.
Getting Started
First, I started by, you know, just trying to remember who was on the team. I’m a pretty big Padres fan, but my memory isn’t perfect. So, I grabbed my phone and started jotting down names as they came to me. Machado, of course. Tatis Jr. (even though he was out for a chunk of the season). I got a decent list going just from memory, which was a good start.
Filling in the Gaps
Then came the tricky part – remembering all the pitchers, the role players, the guys who maybe don’t always make the headlines. I spent some time looking at old game summaries and articles, it helped refresh my memory on some of the less obvious names.
Double-Checking Everything
Once I thought I had everyone, I started cross-referencing my list. I wanted to be absolutely sure I wasn’t missing anyone, or accidentally including someone who got traded or something. It took a bit, but I managed to compile the complete roster. I even made sure that information such as position, batting hand, throwing hand are included.
The Final Roster
So, finally, I’ve got the list. It took a bit of digging and double-checking, but I’m pretty confident I’ve got the full 2022 Padres roster down.
- Catchers: I started with catchers, listing Austin Nola and Jorge Alfaro.
- Infielders: Next, I listed the infielders. It had star players like Manny Machado and promising talents like CJ Abrams, also including veterans like Eric Hosmer.
- Outfielders: Then I moved to the outfielders. Players such as Trent Grisham, and Wil Myers are included.
- Starting Pitchers: It had Joe Musgrove, Yu Darvish, and other names.
- Relief Pitchers: It included Taylor Rogers and some new talents.
It was a fun little project, and it definitely made me appreciate the depth of the team. Go Padres!
