Alright, so today I wanted to dive into something a little different – the 2014 Uruguayan national football team. I got really curious about who was on that squad, so I decided to do a little digging.

First, I fired up my browser. It’s my usual go-to for these kinds of things. Nothing fancy, just a simple search to get the ball rolling.
My Research Process
Step 1: Initial Search
I started by typing in “Uruguay 2014 World Cup squad” into the search bar. I figured that would be the most direct way to get the info I was after.
Step 2: Sifting Through Results
- The initial search gave me a bunch of results, some news articles, some Wikipedia pages, some other stuff.
- I usually check a couple of sources, it is good to find all the information I can.
- I tend to look for roster lists, focusing on reliable sports sites or the official tournament pages.
Step 3: Compiling the Names

Once I felt pretty confident I had the full list, I created the list to organize all :
- I make my own list on the text editor.
- Copied all the names of players in the list.
Step 4: Double-Checking (Just in Case)
I did a quick scan through a couple more sources, just to make sure I didn’t miss anyone or accidentally include someone who wasn’t actually on the team. Better safe than sorry!
It was a fun little project! Sometimes it’s cool to just follow a random curiosity and see where it leads you. It doesn’t have to be a big, complicated thing. Just satisfying that itch to know something you didn’t know before.
