Alright folks, lemme tell you about my adventures in the Dreaming City chasing those Ascendant Chests. It’s a wild ride, but totally worth it for the loot!
First things first, gotta get Ascendant. You need a Tincture of Queensfoil. Pop that bad boy and you’ll start seeing the Ascendant platforms and pathways. I usually grab one from Petra Venj, saves me the hassle of farming. After you consume it, the world around you kinda shifts, and hidden platforms will become visible, allowing you to reach new areas and secrets.
Okay, so week one, I went straight for the Gardens of Esila. Popped the Tincture, and boom, the platforms appeared. You gotta be quick and time your jumps right. I almost fell off like five times. Found the chest tucked away behind some rocks. Sweet loot! Got some Legendary gear, not the greatest roll, but hey, it’s something.
Next up, Rheasilvia. This one’s a bit trickier. Had to weave through some tight corridors and jump across some floating islands. The chest was hidden inside a building, real sneaky. Remember to look up, Guardian! These chests love to hide in plain sight.
Then there’s the Spine of Keres. Ugh, I hate this one. So many Taken orbs and those annoying Hobgoblins sniping you. But, I persevered! The chest is hidden near the Oracle Engine. The trick is to use the platforms to get around the taken blight. Once you get near, you’ll see the ascendant platforms leading you to the chest.
Last but not least, the Chamber of Starlight. This one’s kinda fun. It’s all about exploring the cave system. You have to traverse the ascendant realm by making careful jumps across the platforms until you locate the chest, which is usually hidden in a corner of the large room. Just watch out for those Taken Phalanxes, they’ll boop you right off the edge.
The key to all of this is timing and patience. Don’t rush it. Take your time, scope out the platforms, and plan your jumps. And for the love of the Traveler, watch out for those Taken Knights! They always seem to know when you’re about to make a crucial jump.
Here’s a quick checklist I usually go through:
- Get a Tincture of Queensfoil. Seriously, don’t forget it.
- Know the general location of the Ascendant Challenge. A quick Google search can help.
- Take your time. Rushing leads to falling.
- Watch out for enemies. They’re jerks.
- Loot that chest!
