Atlanta Falcons Mock Draft: Predicting Every Pick for the Falcons This Year

Alright, folks, gather ’round. Today, I’m diving into my latest project: the Atlanta Falcons mock draft for 2025. Yeah, you heard that right, 2025. It’s never too early to start speculating, right? So, I started by scouring the internet, looking at what the so-called “experts” were saying. I checked out NFL Network, *, and a bunch of other sites to see who they were picking for the Falcons.

First off, I learned that the Falcons are kinda short on draft picks this time around. They’ve only got four, apparently. And it seems like they really need to beef up their defense. That’s what everyone’s saying, at least. I saw a lot of buzz about some defensive end from Texas AM, Shemar Stewart. Mel Kiper Jr., one of those ESPN guys, thinks he’s going to be the Falcons’ first-round pick. Sounds promising, but who knows?

I dug a little deeper and found that this has been a recurring theme. People have been saying for a while now that the Falcons need to focus on defense. It makes sense, I guess. You need a strong defense to win games. I noticed that every mock draft I looked at had the Falcons picking a defensive player, especially someone who can rush the quarterback.

Then I came across a couple of names from the SEC: James Pearce and Shane Shoemaker. These guys are supposed to be pretty good edge rushers, which is exactly what the Falcons need. I watched some highlights of their games, and they do look impressive. They’re fast, they’re strong, and they know how to get to the quarterback. I can see why people are high on them.

So, after all this research, I started putting together my own mock draft. It was tricky, trying to balance the Falcons’ needs with the available talent. And with only four picks, every selection really counts. I spent hours tweaking and revising, trying to come up with the best possible outcome for the team.

  • Round 1: I ended up going with Shemar Stewart in the first round. He just seems like the best fit for the Falcons’ defense.
  • Later Rounds: In the later rounds, I focused on adding depth to the defensive line and secondary.

It was a fun exercise, and it got me even more excited for the actual draft. We’ll see how close I get to reality when the time comes. But for now, I’m feeling pretty good about my picks.

It was all a good and fun experience.

It’s always a blast to play armchair GM and try to predict the future. Who knows, maybe I’ll be right about some of these picks. Only time will tell. Until then, go Falcons!
