Okay, so I saw this picture online of a car that was, like, half orange and half yellow. It looked kinda cool, and I thought, “I wanna try making that!” So, I grabbed my box of colored pencils – you know, the usual ones everyone has – and a piece of plain white paper.

Getting Started
First, I drew a basic outline of a car. I’m no artist, so it was pretty rough, just a simple boxy shape with some wheels. I used a regular pencil for this, so I could erase it easily if I messed up.
Coloring Time
- I picked out my brightest orange and yellow pencils.
- Then I decided where the dividing line would be – right down the middle of the car.
- I colored the front half, including the front window, with orange,I used some light orange to color a circle to show the light.
- I started coloring, being super careful to stay inside my lines.
- I used yellow to fill the back *’s very interesting when different colors meet together.
Making it Pop
It looked okay, but kinda flat. So, I grabbed a slightly darker orange and added some shading along the bottom and around the wheel wells. I did the same with a darker yellow for the back half. This made it look a little more 3D, you know?
Finishing Touches
Finally, I used a black pencil to draw in the tires, windows, and some details like the door handles and headlights.I colored the wheels in black.I added some random background, some grass below the car with green, and some blue sky above.I used the most light blue I *, and I added my signature in the corner, just for fun.
It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out! It was a fun little project, and it definitely brightened up my day. Plus, it’s way cheaper than actually painting a real car orange and yellow!
