Okay, so, today I wanna talk about something kinda fun I was messing around with – trying to find some decent pictures of Chicharito. You know, Javier Hernández, the soccer player. It started pretty simple, I just wanted a new wallpaper for my phone.

First thing I did, obviously, was hit up Google Images. Typed in “Chicharito pictures,” right? A bunch of stuff came up, but a lot of it was either low-res or just…not great. Like, action shots where he’s blurry or weird crops from Getty Images with watermarks the size of Texas. I needed something clean and crisp.
Then I figured, “Okay, maybe I need to be more specific.” So I tried “Chicharito HD wallpaper.” That got me a few better results, some decent fan-made stuff. Found one or two I liked, but still felt like I could do better. It felt like I was missing something.
I started digging around on some soccer fan forums I know, places like Reddit’s r/soccer and a few other smaller boards. People there are usually posting good stuff. And bingo! I found a couple of threads where people were sharing high-quality images from his different teams – Man U, Real Madrid, Leverkusen. That was a goldmine.
One thing I noticed was that a lot of the really good shots were from specific events – like the World Cup or Champions League matches. So I started searching for things like “Chicharito World Cup 2014” and “Chicharito Champions League goals.” That led me to some awesome galleries from sports photographers. They get paid to take amazing photos, so the quality was way better than anything I was finding on general image searches.
Another trick I used was to filter the Google Image search by size. You can go to “Tools” and then “Size” and choose “Large” or “X-Large.” This helps weed out all the tiny, pixelated images and focuses on the high-resolution stuff.

Eventually, after about an hour of digging, I found a few absolute bangers. One of him celebrating a goal in the Mexico jersey, super sharp and vibrant. Another one from his time at Manchester United, looking all serious and focused. Perfect for my phone.
But it wasn’t just about finding the images. I also wanted to make sure I wasn’t accidentally stealing someone’s copyright. So I did a reverse image search on the ones I liked, just to see where they were originally posted and if there were any copyright notices attached. It’s always good to be careful about that stuff.
So yeah, that’s the story of my Chicharito picture quest. It was a lot more involved than I thought it would be, but I ended up with some great wallpapers and learned a few new tricks for finding high-quality images online. Hope that helps you if you’re ever on the hunt for some specific pics!
