Okay, so, I’ve been really getting into Stardew Valley lately. It’s such a chill game, you know? But I wanted to get serious about my farm, so I started looking into the best crops to plant. And let me tell you, there are a ton of options, like over forty of them. It’s kinda overwhelming!

At first, I just planted whatever seeds I had. I figured, hey, any crop is better than no crop, right? I was making some money, but not a lot. Then I started doing some digging online. I found out that most people go for the crops that make the most money. Makes sense, I guess.
I decided to try out some of the big money-makers. So in the Spring, I planted a bunch of Cauliflower. Then in the Fall, I went all-in on Pumpkins. I even started making a ton of kegs to turn my crops into wine, I heard that was a good way to make bank. It took a while, but when those harvests came in, I was rolling in dough!
Then I discovered Ancient Fruit. Man, that stuff is a game-changer. It takes a while to get going, but once you do, you’re getting a good chunk of change every week. 550 gold per fruit, to be exact. It’s nuts! I also started planting Cranberries and Strawberries because they keep producing multiple harvests, so less work for me. Less planting, more harvesting.
Here’s what my planting schedule looked like:
- Spring: Cauliflower, Rhubarb, and some Strawberries
- Summer: I’m still messing around with this one, but Hops for beer seem good
- Fall: All Pumpkins all the time, plus Cranberries
- Greenhouse: Ancient Fruit, baby!
It took some trial and error, but I finally feel like I’ve got a good system down. I’m making way more money now, and my farm is actually starting to look like something. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s going. I keep planting and watching my farm grow, it’s pretty satisfying.
