OK, so I got into this “Murder Target: Alexander” quest in Baldur’s Gate 3, and man, it was a wild ride. First off, I started poking around, trying to figure out who this Alexander guy even was and why he was a target. I ended up going around to talk to a few folks – Nesha Leesha, Chef Roveer, and Figaro Pennygood. Honestly, only Nesha seemed to take my warning seriously, but it didn’t seem to change much in the end.

The game was pretty good about marking these people on the map, which was helpful. I visited a bunch of places, but some people, like Alexander Rainforest and Franc Peartree, were already dead when I got there. It was a bummer, but I guess that’s just how it goes sometimes.
Then things got even crazier. This Valeria character got kidnapped by some cultists – the Cult of Bhaal, I think they were called. I tracked them down to this place called the Murder Tribunal. When I got there, I had a choice to make: rescue Valeria or sacrifice her to this Bhaal guy. I decided to save her, and it turned out to be a good call because she ended up joining my team for some other big quest later on.
- Talk to Cora Highberry
- Find out she’s drinking poison
- Start a fight to save her
Before all that, though, I ran into this Cora Highberry lady. I had to do a Medicine check to figure out she was drinking poison – it was some kind of paralytic stuff. Luckily, I had found a poison bottle in Duke Stelmane’s room earlier, so that gave me an advantage on the check. To save Cora, I just straight up told her, “That wine is poisonous.” That kicked off a fight, but we managed to save her.
The fight at the Tribunal was pretty intense. They kept summoning these portals, so I focused on taking those out first, then dealt with the enemies. I remember reading somewhere that creating a lava pool can help with a certain enemy. But I skipped this way. After we cleared the area, it was a huge relief. I’ve heard there are a couple of ways to deal with this Sarevok guy, either in the throne room or the ritual room. I haven’t decided which way I’ll go yet, but I’m leaning towards just going in, you know? Maybe some stealthy stuff could work, but I’m not sure.
Defeat Sarevok
- Focus on portals
- Take down enemies
- Clear the area
Anyway, that’s where I’m at with this “Murder Target: Alexander” quest. It’s been a wild ride so far, with a lot of running around, talking to people, and some tough fights. I’m still not entirely sure what the whole story is, but I’m having a blast figuring it out. I’ll keep you guys posted on how it goes! I think I’m getting close to the end of this part, but who knows what’s next in Baldur’s Gate 3.
