Okay, so, I wanted to share this little project I’ve been messing around with recently. It all started when I came across this name, Bill Chan. I got curious and just started digging around.
First, I googled the name. Turns out, there’s this famous Hong Kong singer and actor named William Chan. I watched some of his music videos and some clips from his movies. Pretty cool stuff, but that wasn’t quite what I was looking for.
Then, I stumbled upon another Bill Chan, this guy’s the CEO of some company called Iodine Software. This seemed more my lane. I read that he’s really into using AI and machine learning in healthcare, and honestly, that sounded super interesting.
So, I decided to dive deeper into Iodine Software. I checked out their website, read some articles about what they do. They’re basically using all this tech to help hospitals and doctors. I spent a good few hours just browsing through their stuff, it is kind of interesting.
After that, I thought, why not try to build something similar? Just a small project, you know, to learn more about how this whole AI thing works in a real-world application. I started by picking a simple problem, like predicting patient readmission rates.

- I did research on basic machine learning models.
- I started coding and testing.
It wasn’t easy, I had to learn a lot on the fly. I spent days just trying to get the data right and then nights figuring out why my model wasn’t working. But you know, step by step, I started to see some progress. I managed to get a basic model up and running. It’s not perfect, not even close, but it’s a start.
So that’s my Bill Chan story. From a random name to a full-blown learning project. I learned a bunch about AI, healthcare, and even a little about a Hong Kong celebrity. And it all started with a simple google search.
