So, I’ve been grinding away on Black Ops 6 lately, you know, trying to unlock all those sweet camos and attachments. And let me tell you, it’s been a real pain in the butt. I ran into this super annoying bug with the optics.
I was messing around in the Gunsmith, right? Trying out different scopes and stuff on my favorite assault rifle. I finally settled on this sweet holographic sight, I thought it looked real slick and gave me a nice clear picture. Got it all set up, exited out of the Gunsmith, and started a match, all excited to try out my newly customized weapon.
But guess what? I spawned in, and boom, the optic is gone. Vanished. Like it never even happened. My gun was back to its default iron sights. I was like, “What the heck just happened?” I thought maybe I forgot to save it. I checked my settings, and I definitely saved everything in the Gunsmith. My other attachments were there, but the optic was just… gone.
I tried it a few more times, slapping on different optics, even on different guns. Same darn thing kept happening. Every time I’d leave the Gunsmith, my optics would just disappear.
It was driving me nuts! I mean, who wants to use iron sights all the time? It’s 2024, for crying out loud!
- I spent a good chunk of time trying to figure this out.
- First, I double-checked all my settings, made sure I was saving my loadouts properly.
- Then I restarted the game a few times, even restarted my whole console.
- No dice. The optics kept vanishing.
Finally, I hopped online, started digging around the forums and Reddit. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one having this problem. There were tons of other players complaining about the same exact issue. Apparently, it’s some kind of bug that got introduced with the latest patch.
The frustration is real
The game developer, Treyarch, they acknowledged the bug. They said they were “investigating” it, whatever that means. I heard they fixed it in one patch but it still happens for some people. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it after the patch. I’m just hoping they actually fix it soon. It’s a real bummer because it’s making the game way less enjoyable. I can’t believe this issue still existed when I encounter it. How come they didn’t fix it completely? It’s just annoying to encounter these silly bugs that impact my gaming experience.
Anyway, that’s my rant for today. If you’re playing Black Ops 6 and your optics keep disappearing, just know you’re not alone. Hopefully, they’ll get it sorted out soon. Until then, I guess I’ll be sticking with my trusty iron sights, or maybe I’ll just take a break from the game altogether. This whole situation has been a major headache.
