Hey everyone, I’m back again to share another experience of mine. This time, it’s about catching the Bowling Green vs. Northern Illinois game. It’s been a while, but I still remember a good bit of the excitement!

So, I got wind that the game was set for October 12th, a Saturday. That was good news, because weekends are pretty much the only time I can watch anything live. The kickoff was scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, which worked out nicely—not too early, not too late.
Next, I figured out where the game would be shown. It turned out that ESPN+ was the place to be. I signed in early, just to make sure everything was working smoothly. You know how it is, technology can be a bit unreliable at times, and I didn’t want to miss a single play because of some silly technical difficulty.
I also checked out the team records beforehand. If I remember right, Northern Illinois was at 3-2, and Bowling Green was 2-3. It seemed like it was going to be a pretty close match, which made it even more exciting.
- First, I made sure my subscription was up to date. No one wants to get hyped for a game and then realize they can’t watch it!
- Then, I jotted down the time and date on my calendar. It’s easy to forget these things, especially when you’re juggling a bunch of other stuff.
- After that, I looked up the team standings. It’s always fun to have a little background info before diving into a game.
The game itself was set to take place at the Stroh Center, which, from what I heard, is a decent place to catch a game. It seemed like it was gonna be a pretty hyped-up event, especially since it was a Mid-American battle.
When game day finally came around, I made sure to get everything ready. Snacks, drinks, you name it—I was prepared! I tuned in to ESPN+ right on time and watched the whole game unfold. I don’t remember all the specific plays or the final score, but I do recall it was a pretty intense match. Both teams played their hearts out.

What I learned
Planning ahead is key. Making sure I knew when and where to watch the game really helped me relax and enjoy it without any last-minute stress. Also, getting a bit of background on the teams made the game a lot more interesting.
All in all, it was a great experience. I got to watch some good football and enjoy a relaxing Saturday afternoon. Can’t ask for much more than that! If you’re into college football, definitely keep an eye out for these matchups. They’re a blast to watch, especially when you’re all set up and ready to go!
