Today, I’m gonna talk about my little project on Cameroun versus Kenya. I gotta say, this wasn’t some big, fancy research thing, more like a fun experiment I did on my own. So, I started by collecting some basic data. You know, just hitting up the internet, checking out some sports websites, and all that jazz. I wanted to get a feel for how these two teams have been doing.
I gathered a bunch of information like recent match results, who scored goals, and how many yellow cards they got. Nothing too complicated, just the usual stuff you’d find if you’re following a football match. Then, I dumped all this data into a spreadsheet. Yeah, I know, it sounds a bit old school, but it works for me. I like seeing all the numbers laid out in front of me.
Setting up the spreadsheet
In my spreadsheet, I made separate columns for things like ‘Date’, ‘Match Type’, ‘Cameroun Score’, ‘Kenya Score’, ‘Goal Scorers’, and ‘Yellow Cards’. It was pretty straightforward. I just wanted to organize the info so I could compare the two teams easily. After I filled in all the data, I started looking for patterns.
Analyzing and Comparing
- I checked which team won more often.
- I compared the goal differences to see who usually scores more.
- I also looked at the yellow cards to see which team plays rougher.
It was actually pretty interesting to see the data line up. I’m not gonna lie, there were some surprises. For instance, I didn’t expect Cameroun to have so many yellow cards in one of their recent matches. And Kenya, they had a few matches where they scored way more than I thought they would. It is kinda fun to dive into these details and see what’s really going on.
Visualizing Data
After playing around with the numbers, I decided to make a few simple charts. You know, just to make things a bit more visual. I created a bar chart to compare the total wins for each team and a line graph to show the trend of goals scored over their last few matches. It’s nothing fancy, but it helps to see the data in a different way.
I also calculated some basic statistics, like the average number of goals each team scores per match and the average number of yellow cards they get. This was just for kicks, really. It’s not like I’m doing some professional analysis or anything. But it adds a bit more depth to my little comparison. I found that Cameroun tends to score more goals on average, but Kenya is not that far behind. And when it comes to yellow cards, both teams have their moments, but Cameroun definitely had a few matches where they were pushing it.
In the end, this whole thing was just a fun little project for me. I got to play around with some data, make some charts, and learn a bit more about Cameroun and Kenya’s football teams. It’s not going to win any awards or anything, but I enjoyed it. And hey, maybe I’ll do something similar again in the future. It is pretty cool to see what you can find out when you dig into the numbers a bit.
