Living With It
Knowing the actual horsepower didn’t really change how I rode it, though. It was still a beast. That number just gave me a solid reference point. It wasn’t some mythical figure anymore; it was my bike’s power. The main thing was respecting it. It’s easy to get carried away on a bike like that. It cruises so easily at high speed, you don’t realize how fast you’re going sometimes.
Never did much modification to it. Thought about an exhaust, maybe a power commander, but honestly? It had more than enough power for me as it was. Just kept up with the maintenance, good tires, good brakes. That’s what mattered more on the road.
