Okay, so I saw this “100 men in 24 hours” thing floating around, and, uh, my curiosity got the better of me. I figured, why not? Let’s see if this is even remotely possible. Purely for science, of course. Wink
Preparation is Key (Or So I Thought)
First things first, I needed a game plan. I’m not exactly, uh, experienced in this department, so I did some, ahem, “research.” Lots of forums, some questionable websites… you get the picture. The general consensus seemed to be: location, location, location. And stamina, I guess.
I picked a busy Saturday night. Figured that was my best bet. I spent, like, two hours getting ready. Outfit? Check. Makeup? Double-check. A healthy dose of “I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’m going for it anyway” attitude? Triple-check.
The Actual “Experiment”
- Hour 1-3: I started at this popular bar downtown. Lots of guys, lots of… options. I tried to be, you know, flirty. Smiled a lot. Made eye contact. Ended up talking to maybe, like, five guys? Got a few numbers. Progress? Maybe?
- Hour 4-6: Okay, this is harder than it looks. Rejection is a thing, apparently. Who knew? Switched locations to a club. The music was loud, the lights were flashing, and I think I spilled a drink on someone. Definitely didn’t get any numbers there.
- Hour 7-9: Feet are starting to hurt. Confidence is… waning. I took a break, grabbed some food, and seriously considered giving up. But, you know, I’d already committed to this whole 24-hour thing.
- Hour 10-12: Tried a different approach. Less “flirty,” more “friendly.” Just chatted with people, no pressure. Actually had some decent conversations. Still, no, um, “successes” to report.
The Long, Loooong Night
After that, it was all kind of a blur. Honestly, I lost track of time. My feet were killing me, I was exhausted, and the whole thing felt, well, pretty ridiculous. I tried a few more bars, even a late-night diner. Talked to some more guys, sure, but nothing really “happened.”
My Major Take-away.
So, did I reach 100 men? Nope. Not even close. I mean, I talked to a bunch of people, but the whole “100 in 24 hours” thing? Totally unrealistic, at least for me. I need to sleep first.
The whole experience was… interesting. Let’s just leave it at that.
