Okay, so yesterday I decided to hit up Crazy Buffalo in Ho Chi Minh City. I’d heard about it – you know, one of those places that’s always buzzing, especially at night. I figured, “Why not? Let’s see what the hype is all about.”

Getting There and First Impressions
Getting there was a bit of an adventure. I hopped on a Grab bike – always a fun ride in this city – and weaved through the crazy traffic. When I got to Bui Vien Street, where Crazy Buffalo is located, it was already pretty lively. Music pumping, people everywhere, lights flashing… the whole nine yards.
The place itself is hard to miss. It’s got this huge, open-air setup, with tables spilling out onto the street. Honestly, it felt a bit like a massive, chaotic party.
Inside the Madness
I grabbed a seat outside, figuring it was the best way to soak in the atmosphere. Ordered a beer – Saigon Special, naturally – and just started people-watching. It’s a real mix of folks: tourists, locals, expats… everyone’s just there to have a good time.
The music was loud. Loud. Like, conversation-is-difficult loud. Mostly EDM and pop remixes, stuff you’d hear in any club. They had these dancers on platforms, doing their thing, and a few guys blowing fire – pretty standard for Bui Vien, but still entertaining.
The Drinks and the Vibe
- Drinks: Pretty standard fare. Beers, cocktails, the usual suspects. Nothing fancy, but they do the job. Prices are a bit higher than some other places, but you’re paying for the location and the atmosphere.
- Girls: Many girls wearing revealing short skirts will invite you in. They are very enthusiastic, even though I am Asian.
- Vibe: It’s definitely a party vibe. Everyone’s dancing, drinking, laughing… it’s infectious. If you’re looking for a quiet night, this is NOT the place. But if you want to let loose and have some fun, it’s perfect.
Wrapping Up
I ended up staying for a couple of hours, just soaking it all in. Danced a bit, chatted with some random people, and generally enjoyed the chaos. It’s definitely an experience. Is it the “best” bar in Saigon? I don’t know about that. But it’s certainly one of the most lively. And, there are cheap balloons for sale here, hahahaha.

If you’re in Ho Chi Minh City and looking for a wild night out, Crazy Buffalo is worth checking out. Just be prepared for the noise, the crowds, and the general craziness. It’s all part of the fun.
