Okay, so I’ve been tinkering with my bike lately, and I stumbled upon this thing called “CRC” for motorcycles. I’d heard about it, but never really dug in. Figured it was time to get my hands dirty and see what all the fuss was about.
First, I started by doing some digging online. Just basic searches, you know? Trying to figure out what CRC even is. Turns out, it’s a bunch of different products, mostly cleaners and lubricants, all designed for different parts of your motorcycle. That made sense, I guess.
My Cleaning Process
So, after reading a lot of product descriptions and reviews, I decided to go with the CRC Brakleen. Many reviews said it’s good. I got it from a local store.
- I first wore old clothes, prepared a waste container, and some rags.
- Then, I carefully sprayed the CRC Brakleen onto the brake disc and caliper, making sure to avoid getting any on the paint or plastic parts.
- I let it sit for a few minutes, like the instructions said, to let it do its thing.
- After that I used the rag to wipe all the brake and clean the disc.
- I repeated serveral times to clean my brake and disc.
Honestly, the brake cleaner worked like a charm. My brakes feel way more responsive now, and that squealing noise I’d been ignoring? Gone. I should’ve done this way earlier, it made a bigger difference than I expected.
I’m definitely going to keep exploring the other CRC products. My chain could probably use some love, and I saw they have a specific chain cleaner and lube. Maybe I’ll tackle that next weekend. It’s kinda satisfying, getting your bike all cleaned up and running smooth.
