Okay, so yesterday I was hanging out with my buddies, and the topic of sports came up, as it always does. Someone mentioned the Celtics, and another guy brought up the Mavericks, and I was like, “Hey, what was the score between Boston and Dallas recently?” I honestly couldn’t remember who won, and I hate being the one who’s out of the loop.
First thing I did was grab my phone. Obvious, right? I went straight to Google. Typed in “Boston vs Dallas score”. Boom! Instant results. I saw a bunch of websites popping up with scores and game recaps.
I clicked on the first one, ESPN, ’cause they’re usually pretty reliable. Scrolled down, found the most recent game between the Celtics and the Mavericks. Found the final score right there. It showed me who won, what the score was, and even gave me a little summary of the game highlights. I was like, “Aha! Now I know!”
To be extra sure, I checked another site, *, just to verify. They had the same score, so I knew I was good to go.
Then, just to be thorough, I wanted to see a little more detail. I went back to Google and searched for “Celtics Mavericks game recap”. Found a couple of articles that gave me the full story – who the top players were, key moments in the game, that kind of stuff. It was actually kinda interesting!
So, there you have it. A quick Google search, a double-check on *, and a little game recap reading. Now I’m armed with the info I need to sound like I know what I’m talking about next time the conversation comes up. Small victory, but a victory nonetheless!
